Rediscovered in 2004, Irène Némirovsky became known in the 1930s, before seeing her life tragically turned upside down: a foreign Jew in France, she was deported in 1942 and died at Auschwitz. Based on unpublished archives, this biography focuses on the fate of his surviving family and places his work and his status as a triple-excluded writer (as a woman, as a Jew, as a foreigner) in the literary and political context of the interwar period.
In the presence of author Susan Suleiman and historian Annette Wieviorka.
Hosted by Olivier Philipponnat, biographer of Irène Némirovsky.
