Rediscovered in 2004, Irène Némirovsky made a name for herself in the 1930s, before her life was tragically turned upside down: a foreign Jew in France, she was deported in 1942 and died at Auschwitz. Based on unpublished archives, this biography focuses on the fate of his surviving family and places his work and his status as a writer, triply excluded (as a woman, as a Jew, as a foreigner) in the literary and political context of the interwar period.
