As every year, the literary season is an opportunity to discuss with authors about their latest publications.
If literature has the power to put into words the years of war that often seem ineffable, it is also a way to question the significance of memories, the difficulty of reconstruction, the complexity of memory and transmission.
This day will take place in two
Part 1 14h30
A sports journalist portrays the tragic fate of the 'Mozart of football', Matthias Sindelar, who will resist in his own way the grip of Nazism in Autiche; while the shadows of the dark years of the Occupation still haunt the novelists: a young man stalks his ancestor to discover what was the action of the administrators in charge of spoliations; fierce anti-Nazis, after a halt at Sanary, the «Montparnasse-sur-Mer», are for some designated as «nationals of an enemy power», and prey to the threat of the Gestapo; teenagers in love with jazz, against all odds – hunted by the Nazis, chased by the collaborators, or rejected by the Resistance– fully strive to live their youth!
