Joseph, a young Parisian of fifteen years, tries to escape the indifference of his family. Welcomed into an artists' house, he finds his place among exiles with a painful past. At the narrative of their stories, Joseph panses his wounds and learns about love. Sentimental and aesthetic education, reflection on solitude, this novel is also an ode to 20th century photography, to that of André Kertész or August Sander.
