Since he was interned at the camp of Pithiviers in May 1941, Zysman writes almost every day love letters to Khayè, his wife. Some letters in French are censored, the others, written in Yiddish, go under the counter. These tight lines also tell of intimacy, fears, revolt and the harsh daily life in the camp. Brimming with life and love, this exceptional correspondence paints the portrait of a couple mistreated by history.
