Italy and the Holocaust
Sunday 11 December 2016 at 2:30 PM
On the occasion of the publication of "L'Italie et la Shoah. Fascism and the Jews, the Italians and anti-Jewish persecution, n° 204 Revue d'histoire de la Shoah, March 2016.
The history of the Holocaust in Italy still seems marginal. Wrongly, because it highlights, among other things, the network of internment camps created by the Duce, the cooperation with the German occupier in implementing the Final Solution, the complex relationships between Italian Jews and fascism, like the attitude of Italian society towards their deportation.
In the presence of Laura Fontana, Italy’s correspondent for the Shoah Memorial and co-editor of the RHS issue on Italy, Fanny Levin Gallina, historian, and Ilaria Pavan, historian, Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa.
Animated by Georges Bensoussan, editorial manager, Mémorial de la Shoah.
Please note, as this event is fully booked in the auditorium, the remaining seats are in the broadcasting room.
