"First memory" of the Shoah

In recent years, researchers have been studying the memory of the Shoah again in the first decades after the war. This was expressed not twenty or thirty years later, but as soon as the genocide ended.
However, did we really take the measure of the crime? How can we explain the memory effervescence of the 1970s and 1980s in France and Europe?
