«First memory» of the Shoah

For some years now, researchers have been studying the memory of the Shoah again in the first decades after the war. This was expressed not twenty or thirty years later, but as soon as the genocide ended.
For all that, did we then really take the measure of the crime? How to explain the memory effervescence of the 1970s and 1980s, in France and in Europe?
