Set against the backdrop of the Finaly affair that shook France in the 1950s, this book tells the story of Guy, a child who was also taken in by Antoinette Brun, and his quest for identity.
At 40, he found his mother, Helen Kalmus, an Austrian Jew who had taken refuge in France, the country where she met her father, an Alsatian, who later joined the Gestapo.
