More than 30 years later, Shoah remains "an immense lesson in cinema, which is also a political, aesthetic, philosophical, and perhaps poetic lesson", according to the words of Éric Marty.

In an Oscar-nominated documentary, Adam Benzine offers an intimate portrait of Claude Lanzmann, which looks back on the genesis of his film. Combining an interview with the director and unpublished images from the editing, it sheds light on the creation of this masterpiece and its influence.

In the presence of Claude Lanzmann, writer and director, and Éric Marty, member of the Institut universitaire de France (IUF), writer, essayist, university Paris 7.
