More than 30 years later, Shoah remains an "immense lesson in cinema, which is also a political, aesthetic, philosophical, and perhaps poetic lesson", in the words of Éric Marty.
In an Oscar-nominated documentary, Adam Benzine offers an intimate portrait of Claude Lanzmann, who returns to the genesis of his film. Combining an interview with the director and unpublished images from the editing, it sheds light on the creation of this masterpiece and its influence.
