On the occasion of the publication of Cahiers de Mémoire, Kigali, 2014, ed. Classiques Garnier, 2017. With the support of the Fondation pour la Mémoire de la Shoah.
The memory workshop was created in 2014 within the Maison de quartier Rwanda avenir, in Kigali. The Cahiers de mémoire were written by the participants, they primarily remain narratives of the genocide, but the remembrance extends upstream and downstream, they speak about love, seasons, family, traditions.

The film traces the genesis of the memory workshop created in 2014 during the 20th commemoration of the genocide of the Tutsi. After a year of therapy and a journey of memory, the group of great mothers implemented in 2012 the first Kwibuka ceremony at the neighborhood house. Since then, these commemorations, introduced by an afternoon of exchanges with Dr. Naasson Munyandamutsa, have taken place every year.
In the presence of the director.
Dr. Naasson Munyandamutsa was one of the few psychiatrists in Rwanda in the years following the genocide. In 1996, he began to rebuild the mental health system of the country. Under his leadership, the neuropsychiatric hospital of Ndera is rehabilitated, psychological support services for survivors and training programs are implemented. For nearly twenty years, Naasson will have been "this solid ground on which the survivors came to be anchored".
