Trip to Thessaloniki, the "Jerusalem of the Balkans", March 2018
On the occasion of the commemorations of the 75th anniversary of the deportation of the Jews from Thessaloniki (Salonika), the Shoah Memorial organizes a journey in the footsteps of the Jewish community of the "Jerusalem of the Balkans".
During this trip, we will notably discover the Jewish Museum of Thessaloniki which retraces the history of the Jews of the city from antiquity to 1945, the synagogues and the commemorative sites of the Shoah.
The group should also participate in the March of Remembrance organized by the municipality from the Place de la Liberté to the deportation station.
