An exhibition of the Memorial inaugurated in Rome

The exhibition "Sport, statement and Games of God here" was inaugurated in Rome on 26 May 2017 by Mario Venezia, president of the Shoah Museum Foundation and Jacques Fredj, director of the Shoah Memorial in Paris.

The exhibition

By glorifying the body of athletes, totalitarian and authoritarian regimes make sports places where people are enrolled, a field for ideological propaganda and an instrument in the service of aggressive diplomacy. At the same time, sport has a new face and is becoming a space for emancipation and resistance to Nazism.

This exhibition is presented in partnership with the Shoah Museum Foundation of Rome and with the support of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, CONI, the Lazio Region, Rome Capital, the Union of Italian Jewish Communities, and the Jewish Community of Rome.

To be discovered at La Casina dei Vallati in Rome until 28 July 2017.

Jacques Fredj met with the Italian Minister of Education Valeria Fedeli
