Hazkarah 2025 – Commemorative ceremony at the Shoah Memorial commemoration

Sunday, September 28, 2025 at 10:15

On Sunday, September 28, 2025 at 10:15 AM, the Shoah Memorial will organize the annual Hazkarah ceremony, a time of meditation and remembrance in tribute to the victims of the Holocaust.

Every year, Hazkarah brings together families, representatives of institutions, as well as the general public around a solemn moment of commemoration. This ceremony, inscribed at the heart of the mission of the Memorial, reminds us of the need to pass on the history of the Shoah and to fight against forgetting.

The ceremony will be introduced by Robert Bober, writer and director, whose commitment and work testify to the importance of memory. The Kaddish will be recited by Olivier Kaufmann, chief rabbi of the synagogue at Place des Vosges.
