Hazkarah 2025 – Commemorative ceremony at the Shoah Memorial

Sunday, September 28, 2025 at 10:15

On Sunday, September 28, 2025 at 10:15 a.m., the Shoah Memorial will hold the annual Hazkarah ceremony, a time of recollection and remembrance in tribute to the victims of the Holocaust.

Each year, Hazkarah brings together families, representatives of institutions, and the general public around a solemn moment of remembrance. This ceremony, which is at the heart of the Memorial’s mission, reminds us of the need to pass on the history of the Shoah and fight against forgetting.

The ceremony will be introduced by Robert Bober, writer and director, whose commitment and work bear witness to the importance of memory. The Kaddish will be recited by Olivier Kaufmann, chief rabbi of the synagogue at Place des Vosges.
