Exceptional visit
Exceptional visits of the hotel in Chalons-Luxembourg
The Hôtel de Chalons-Luxembourg is one of the most remarkable hotels from the first half of the 17th century.
It is a late example of the brick and stone apparatus inspired by the Place des Vosges built under Henry IV and an early example of the double dwelling in depth that would be the norm under Louis XIV.
The hotel de Chalons-Luxembourg is also the only private mansion in the Marais that has kept its original features: facades on street, courtyard and garden.
This hotel is exceptional for its portal, one of the most illustrious in the Marais and for its polychrome facades in ochre-red brick and blond stone, a decorative richness with undeniable charm.
