It is near the Shoah Memorial that the artist C215 drew the radiant face of Simone Veil. To continue this work, the Memorial wished to give him carte blanche by associating his talent as a street artist with the historical events that took place in the streets of Paris on 16 and 17 July 1942, 80 years ago.

Starting from 16 June, the Memorial invites you to discover in the Marais and, more particularly, near the Shoah Memorial, portraits and stories of children who were rounded up in Paris, then deported and murdered at the Auschwitz camp.

These portraits revisited with stencils by C215 come from the Mémorial des enfants, emblematic place of the permanent exhibition of the Mémorial de la Shoah, established on the basis of photographs gathered by Serge Klarsfeld and the Mémorial de la Shoah.

The journey will culminate in an exhibition proposed within the Shoah Memorial.
