The teaching of the Holocaust and educational practices in Israel
The visit of institutions dedicated to transmitting the history of the Shoah and the meeting with specialists allow us to question pedagogical practices and the evolution of knowledge. The visit to the Bauhaus district of Tel Aviv, the Memorial of the Jewish deportees of France in Roglit, and exchanges with former Jewish resistance fighters, former hidden children and children of deportees illuminate the human dimension. The attitude of the Arab minority in Israel towards the Holocaust is evoked.
The Shoah Memorial plans to now alternate, every other year, the autumn universities in Israel and in Berlin. Given political uncertainties, the session in Israel is postponed to 2026.
