Semi-guided tour: Daily life under the Occupation through the animated series Les grandes vacances
Students approach the period of the Second World War with the difficulties of daily life: eating, dressing, heating... Divided into two groups, the students alternate between a workshop activity and an autonomous discovery of the collections.
A lecturer welcomes them to the educational workshop to discuss the concepts of rationing, scarcity, and the black market through the projection of images, the manipulation of facsimiles of rationing tickets, and the reproduction of food rations. The visit to the collections is done independently in small groups of three students, equipped with a digital tablet and a questionnaire.
They watch excerpts from the animated series Les grandes vacances and link them to the museum’s collections. Fiction thus sheds light on historical objects.
