CNRD: a Study Day on the End of the Shoah and Post-War for pedagogical teachers

As part of the educational support for secondary school teachers, a thematic training session is organized around the subject of the National Contest of Resistance and Deportation (CNRD).

This year, the training will focus on the crucial and complex period of: The end of the Holocaust and the Nazi concentration camp universe. Survive, testify, judge (1944-1948)

The objective is to provide teachers with tools, recent historiographical knowledge and avenues of reflection to address this delicate subject with their students.

To lead this day of study, recognized specialists in the field of history and memory of the Second World War will be present Simon Perego: Lecturer at the INALCO and author of Pleurons-les. The Jews of Paris and the commemoration of the Holocaust (1944-1967) (Champ Vallon, 2020), Olivier Lalieu: Author of La Déportation fragmentée – les anciens déportés parlent de politique, 1945-1980(Boutique de l'Histoire, 1994), Sylvie Lindeperg: Professor of history at Paris I and author from Nuremberg, the battle of images (Payot, 2021) and Nadia Wainstein: Educational Manager of the Establishment of Communication and Audiovisual Production of Defense (ECPAD).

Their contributions will allow us to explore the many facets of post-war history, ranging from the challenges of testimony and survival to the beginnings of international justice during trials.
