The Shoah Memorial presents its new program of cultural activities

Sunday, 05 April 2026 Sunday, 30 August 2026

The Shoah Memorial is delighted to present its cultural program from April to August 2026, supported by exceptional exhibitions: Simone Veil. Mes sœurs et moi unveils an intimate facet of the Jacob family; Images de la rafle du "billet vert" presents a collection of previously unpublished photos recently discovered; and an exhibition on Allée des Justes highlights the genocide of the Herero and the Nama, the first genocide of the 20th century.

The Memorial opens its doors to contemporary artists for the European Night of Museums (dramatized reading of Edgar Hilsenrath’s Night, with notably the comedian Bastien Bouillon), the Nuit blanche (participatory performance with Tami Notsani, and unpublished exhibition by Emmanuel Régent), the Fête de la musique (the groups AutorYno and Degré 41), and as part of our Vives Mémoires partnership with the Théâtre de la Ville (notably with comedian Brandon Kano Butare and musician Jules Muzanzo).

We also welcome the exceptional testimonies of Tony Molho, a hidden child in occupied Greece, and of Yvonne Buhikare, a survivor of the genocide of the Tutsi.

We put cinema in the spotlight with a new edition of our short film festival in May and, in August, with an edition of Ciné parvis dedicated to American classics.

A series of encounters marks the entry of the historian and resistance fighter Marc Bloch into the Panthéon.

We commemorate, through official ceremonies and special meetings, the rehabilitation of Alfred Dreyfus (now the first annual commemoration), the genocide of the Tutsi in Rwanda, the genocide of the Armenians, the National Day of Resistance, the Vel d'Hiv roundup and the Warsaw ghetto uprising.

At the Shoah Memorial in Drancy, the exhibition The End of the Shoah continues. Survivre, témoigner, juger while the Rendez-vous de Drancy examines current literary events and features testimonies from Shoah survivors, including Ginette Kolinka and Monique Chouraki.

We hope that you will fully take part in this rich program of the Memorial designed to raise awareness about the importance of preserving and transmitting the history of the Holocaust and genocides.
