Discover the Requiem of Verdi version of the camp of Terezin during an exceptional concert

As a tribute to the victims of Nazism but also as a militant gesture against all forms of discrimination, "Verdi’s Requiem" in Terezin version will be performed at the Sorbonne, in the Grand Amphitheatre on Friday 28 October 2022.

Terezin, or the penultimate stage of the deportees before Auschwitz... In 1944, in this camp where the artists were notably incarcerated, Rafael Schächter, a young conductor, undertook to have a colossal work rehearsed and performed: Verdi’s Requiem.

On an initiative of the INSPE of the Paris academy and with the support of the Rectorate of Paris, this event is organized in partnership with the cultural department of the Faculty of Letters of Sorbonne University and the Shoah Memorial.
