Discover the Verdi Requiem version of Terezin’s camp during an exceptional concert

Friday, October 28, 2022, from 8 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.
As a tribute to the victims of Nazism but also as a militant gesture against all forms of discrimination, "Verdi’s Requiem" in Terezin version will be performed at the Sorbonne, in the Grand Amphithéâtre on Friday, October 28, 2022.

Terezin, or the penultimate stage of the deportees before Auschwitz... In 1944, in this camp where the artists were incarcerated, Rafael Schächter, a young conductor undertook to have a colossal work rehearsed and performed: Verdi’s Requiem.

On an initiative of the INSPE of the Paris Academy and with the support of the Rectorat de Paris, this event is organized in partnership with the cultural service of the Faculty of Letters of Sorbonne University and the Shoah Memorial.
