Signing of an agreement between the Academy of Paris and the Shoah Memorial

Tuesday, June 16, 2020 was signed in the school of the Hospitallers Saint Gervais in the 4th district, in the presence of its director Thierry Hattu, of Gilles Pécout, Rector of the Academy of Paris and Jacques Fredj, Director of the Memorial, an agreement on school continuity and the carrying out of cultural activities during school time, established between the Shoah Memorial and the Paris Academy,

This agreement contributes to the implementation in the Paris Academy of the Sport-Health-Culture-Civic-mindedness scheme, which aims to offer students educational activities during school hours, to complement work in class and/or at home.

This agreement is part of the student’s citizenship journey which contributes to the transmission of the values and principles of the Republic by addressing the major fields of citizenship education, particularly secularism, equality between women and men, and mutual respect, the fight against all forms of discrimination, the prevention and the fight against racism and anti-Semitism.

From 22 June, school groups will be able to visit the memorial again (by reservation).
