Visit-workshop – Words by ear

Between listening to music, writing workshop and reading a tale by Isaac Bashevis Singer, the children immerse themselves in the world of Eastern Europe’s Jews before the war. The opportunity to discover klezmer music and a New Jewish School of Music, which appeared in Saint Petersburg (1908) to preserve folklore and resonate an identity synonymous with freedom.

Through the observation of memorial plaques and street art works, a tour in the Marais district leads participants to discover the Jewish history of central Paris. They are invited to reflect on the presence of the past in the present.

The workshop traces the journey of a Jewish resistance fighter. The children observe various forms of engagement, from rescue to armed struggle.  Songs, objects and archival documents help to better understand the challenges of this plural resistance.

Workshop Visit – Strange ForeignerCanceled 

The storyteller invites children on a journey to the heart of Jewish folktales from five continents. Through these stories that summarize the spirit of a people, children discover the representation of "the stranger". They express themselves graphically and put into words their own representations.
