Yom HaShoah Ceremony 2022

Wednesday, April 27, 2022 from 7 PM to 7 PM

From April 27, 2022 at 7 PM to April 28, 2022 at 7 PM were read on the forecourt of the Shoah Memorial 31 convoys: from convoy 38 to convoi 73.

The Yom HaShoah ceremony is a date chosen by the State of Israel for the commemoration in memory of the victims of the Holocaust and the heroes of the Jewish Resistance during the Second World War, it takes the form of an uninterrupted public reading of 24 hours, day and night.

Of the 76,000 names inscribed on the Wall of Names, the names of the people deported from France are pronounced one by one. Some 200 people, former deportees, parents, volunteers, children... will take turns to read, from the lists from Serge Klarsfeld’s Memorial of the Deportation Book (Association des FFDJF), the names of "those whose only name remains" (Simone Veil).

The ceremony is open to the public on the forecourt of the Shoah Memorial from 7 PM to 1:45 AM and then from 6 AM to 7 PM.

From 1:45 and 6:00, the readings of convoys 49 to 55 will be read remotely, on Zoom.
