France, documentary, 81 min, Quark Production, 2001.
In May 1944, shortly after the invasion of Hungary by the Germans, the students of the final year of the Jewish high school in Budapest pass their baccalaureate, a yellow star sewn on the chest. Among them, the father of Martine Robert. Fifty years later, the director questions her father’s former classmates about their post-war life choices: where did they choose to live? What are their hopes? What did they want to pass on from this past to their children?

Presentation of the film by Martine Robert, director, in discussion with Martin Goutte, lecturer at the Institute for Research on Cinema and Audiovisual (Ircav) at the University Sorbonne Nouvelle.
