Synopsis:

Paris, July 1942: Sarah, a ten-year-old girl who wears the yellow star, is arrested with her parents by the French police in the middle of the night. Panicked, she protects her little brother by telling him to come back and release him as soon as possible.

Paris, May 2009: Julia Jarmond, an American journalist married to a French man, must cover the commemoration of the Vél d'Hiv roundup. Sixty years later, his path will cross that of Sarah, and his life will change forever.
