On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Vel d'Hiv Roundup, the Shoah Memorial is organizing a 100% digital infotainment event: for the first time, a live broadcast from the museum dedicated to the memory and transmission of the Holocaust and the genocides of the 20th century.
Today, the last survivors of the camps are disappearing. So how to rethink this work of memory without them? How to ensure that their history is passed on again and always to future generations?
Presented by Mamouz and Guillaume Pley, this unique show will bring together influencers, comedians, YouTubers, writers, historians... It is on them that we must rely to transmit the memory of the Shoah and the genocides of the 20th century, a true rampart against racism, anti-Semitism, homophobia and intolerance. These ambassadors of the young generation will come to testify, in their own way, about their relationship with this transmission. Aware of their impact on young people, they are all mobilized to move the lines. At the same time a museum, an archive and education centre, the Shoah Memorial is a major player in the fight against antisemitism throughout history. With this broadcast, the Memorial confirms its ambition to evolve and respond to the challenges of its time, to always preserve memory.
