During the Second World War, a small corner of France turns into a land of refuge for the persecuted. The director himself was protected in the region of Chambon-sur-Lignon. He returned in 1982 to understand why, finding the witnesses of this singular conspiracy for good. This collective rescue action, unique in occupied Europe, has since been honored as Righteous among the nations.
In the presence of the director Pierre Sauvage, Marcel Ophuls, director, and Michel Ciment, film critic.
