As part of the European Heritage Days

For several years, the historians Marie Moutier-Bitan and Sarah Gruszka have been working on the collection of diaries preserved in the archives of the Shoah Memorial. By proposing to discuss the diaries of Jacques Wormser, his wife Janine, and that of Ines Wormser, Jacques’s mother, who followed between 1939 and 1944, the parallel trajectories of each of them, they share for the first time their work before the extremely rare existence of these crossed documents, in the presence of Gilles Valmont, the son of Jacques and Janine.

In the presence of Sarah Gruszka, researcher at the CRH (EHESS), MarieMoutier-Bitan, Chair of Excellence for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at the University of Caen/ERLIS/MRSH, Karen Taieb, head of the archives of the Shoah Memorial, and Gilles Valmont, donor.

Moderated by Judith Lyon-Caen, director of studies at the EHESS.
