Tribute to the engaged volunteers, Jewish war veterans, commemoration

Sunday, June 15, 2025

On Sunday, June 15, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., the Parisian cemetery of Bagneux (45 avenue Marx‐Dormoy) will host an exceptional ceremony: a tribute to the engaged Jewish veterans, organized by the Shoah Memorial Commission and the National Office of Veterans and War Victims.

Since 1948, this annual event has celebrated the memory of those who, voluntarily, took up arms in the French armed forces during the two world wars. Among them, Nathan Rapoport, a renowned sculptor, helped in 1948 to build a monument in their honor within the same cemetery of Bagneux.
