Tribute to the engaged volunteer Jewish veterans commemoration

On Sunday, June 15, 2025 at 10:30 a.m., the Parisian Cemetery of Bagneux (45 avenue Marx-Dormoy) will host an exceptional ceremony: the tribute to the engaged Jewish veteran volunteers, organized by the Shoah Memorial Commission and the National Office of Veterans and War Victims.
Since 1948, this annual event has celebrated the memory of those who, voluntarily, took up arms in the French armies during the two world wars. Among them, Nathan Rapoport, a renowned sculptor, contributed as early as 1948 to building a monument in their honor within this same cemetery of Bagneux.
