Originally from Poland, Jean Vaislic was arrested in 1942. He was deported to Auschwitz, before being transferred to the camps of Blechhammer, Gross Rozen, Gliwice and Buchenwald. He survived the death marches. At liberation, he settled in Toulouse.
The only survivor of his family, Jean has testified many times at the Shoah Memorial and in schools.
We extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
On February 9, 2020, Jean and Marie Vaislic were at the Shoah Memorial.
