Originally from Poland, Jean Vaislic was arrested in 1942. He was deported to Auschwitz, before being transferred to the camps of Blechhammer, Gross Rozen, Gliwice and Buchenwald. He survived the death marches. Upon liberation, he settled in Toulouse.
The only survivor of his family, Jean has testified on numerous occasions at the Shoah Memorial and in schools.
We send to his family and loved ones our most sincere condolences.
On February 9, 2020, Jean and Marie Vaislic were at the Shoah Memorial.
