Inauguration of the exhibition "August Sander. Persecuted/persecutors, of 20th century Men"
On 8 March 2018, the Memorial inaugurated its new exhibition dedicated to the work of the German photographer August Sander, in the presence of his grandsons and great-grandsons: Gerhard and Julian Sander.

After an inaugural speech delivered by Eric de Rothschild, president of the Memorial, Michel Guerrin, editor-in-chief of Le Monde, hosted a conference bringing together in the auditorium of the Memorial: Gerhard Sander and Julian Sander (August Sander Foundation), Werner Jung, director of the Documentation Centre on Nazism, Cologne and Alain Sayag, honorary curator, Centre Pompidou.

The public then went to the exhibition located on the 1st floor of the Shoah Memorial in order to discover the portraits of August Sander.
