Inauguration of the exhibition «August Sander. Persécutés/persécuteurs, des Hommes du XXe siècle»
On 8 March 2018, the Memorial inaugurated its new exhibition dedicated to the work of German photographer August Sander, in the presence of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Gerhard and Julian Sander.

After an inaugural speech by Eric de Rothschild, president of the Memorial, Michel Guerrin, editor-in-chief of Le Monde, moderated a conference in the auditorium of the Memorial with: Gerhard Sander and Julian Sander (August Sander Foundation), Werner Jung, director of the Centre de documentation sur le nazisme, Cologne and Alain Sayag, honorary curator, Centre Pompidou.

The public then went to the exhibition located on the 1st floor of the Holocaust Memorial to discover the portraits of August Sander.
