The Memorial celebrates Purim, the journey and deliverance

Purim is a Jewish holiday of biblical origin that commemorates the events recounted in the Book of Esther and which were experienced by the Jews as the miraculous deliverance from a large-scale massacre, planned against them by Haman the Agaggite throughout the Persian Empire.

Pourrim is celebrated every year on the date of 14 Adar, which corresponds to the month of February or March. The festival is preceded by a fast and marked by a joyful carnival atmosphere: adults and children attend dressed up to read the Esther scroll.

This year, on the occasion of Purim, the workshop-choir "May while singing" of the Memorial opens its doors to the public and offers you to come share a festive moment in song on the themes of travel, exodus, exile and nomadism, around a buffet.

Meet at the Memorial on Thursday, March 24 from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Free admission.
