The Shoah Memorial enters the Higher Council of Archives

On Tuesday 3 May 2016, the Minister of Culture, Audrey Azoulay, installed the new Higher Council of Archives, chaired by Mr. Jean-Louis Debré. Jacques Fredj, director of the Shoah Memorial, was among the guests.

Before a Council renewed by the appointment of new members, the Minister unveiled the policy she wishes to pursue for the public archives services. Audrey Azoulay wishes to give priority to the issue of archiving digital data, to the knowledge of archives by the general public as well as to the promotion of the "peace of memory".
