The Memorial signs a partnership agreement with the academy of Poitiers, ESPE and the University of Poitiers
On Thursday, October 12, 2017, the Shoah Memorial, the Academy of Poitiers, the Higher School of Teaching and Education (ESPE) and the University of Poitiers have signed an agreement aimed at renewing and perpetuating the partnership already established in 2008 between the Academy and the Memorial, which provided for the implementation of joint actions aimed at management, teaching and education staff, in particular training trips to the Auschwitz site and to Krakow.

The Academy of Poitiers must ensure to give the teachers and the various actors responsible for training the most relevant means to allow the teaching of the history of the Second World War and the Holocaust, in order to ensure the proper place that memory and history of these events should take in programs.
The partnership between the Academy, ESPE and the Shoah Memorial aims to:
- promote the cultural and civic mission of the Academy and the ESPE by using the resources and skills of the Memorial
- promote training activities on the history of the Holocaust and the genocides of the 20th century for first- and second-grade teachers, trainees and graduates, in initial training and continuing education
- promote the actions implemented by the educational service of the Memorial towards the school public,
- implement a program of specific activities for the Academy and ESPE, and provide assistance to school and university projects
- to encourage regular attendance at the Memorial and participation in initiatives taken on the territory of the Academy
