The Academy of Poitiers must ensure that teachers and the various actors responsible for training have the most appropriate means to enable the teaching of the history of the Second World War and the Shoah, in order to ensure the proper place that the memory and history of these events should take in the programs.
The partnership between the Academy, ESPE and the Shoah Memorial aims to:
- to promote the cultural and civic mission of the Academy and the ESPE through the use of the resources and skills of the Memorial
- to promote training activities on the history of the Shoah and the genocides of the 20th century for first- and second-degree teachers, trainees and professors, in initial and continuing education
- to promote the actions implemented by the Memorial’s educational service aimed at school audiences,
- implement a program of specific activities for the Academy and ESPE, and provide assistance to school and university projects
- to encourage regular attendance at the Memorial and participation in initiatives taken within the territory of the Academy
