Creation of the Network of Young European Ambassadors for the Memory of the Shoah (NESHAMA)

On April 29, 2025, under the presidency of Mrs. Patricia Miralles, Minister Delegate for Memory and Veterans, the signing of the convention for the creation of the network of young European ambassadors for the memory of the Shoah (NESHAMA) took place at the Hôtel de Brienne, in the presence of many partners and actors of memory.

This initiative is coordinated by the Shoah Memorial with the support of the European Commission. This project will bring together young people from five countries to ensure the sustainability of the memory of the Shoah through the mobilization of young generations.

Coordinated by the Shoah Memorial, Neshama brings together a consortium for the 2024-2026 edition from five European countries and composed of eight institutions:
– Germany: Memorial for the victims of the Langenstein-Zwieberge concentration camp
– Croatia: Jasenovac Memorial and the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth
– France: Shoah Memorial and the Deportation Martyrs Memorial
– Greece: Jewish Museum of Greece and the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs
– Poland: Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum
