White Night, special nocturnal at the Shoah Memorial news

Saturday, June 01, 2024 at 7 PM Sunday, June 02, 2024 at 2 AM

After the tribute to Christian Boltanski, in 2022 («Looks. Spirits») – first exhibition realized in homage to the artist then recently disappeared-, Melik Ohanian in 2023, with «Remember, it was tomorrow» – his three works evoking the genocide of the Armenians gathered for the first time-, this White Night 2024 will be under the sign of transversality and proliferation, a way to respond to the danger of radicality through the plurality of worlds, stories, struggles, memories, emotions.

That evening at the Shoah Memorial, we will think about the victims of the Holocaust, but also about the Tutsi, the exiles of yesterday and today, we will go from Rwanda to Poland, from Paris to Kigali passing through Lublin, from Birkenau to Natzwiler.

An evening with multiple entries, allowing the visitor to stroll through the Memorial, and discover several works by prominent artists of the contemporary scene, around two axes: video and performance.

May everyone who allowed this exceptional evening to take place be thanked.
