73 years ago, on March 27, 1944, Hélène Berr was deported to the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp with her parents Antoinette and Raymond. It’s also his 23rd birthday. Two years earlier, the young woman started writing a diary while persecution against Jews is growing day by day in the capital.
The Shoah Memorial, in partnership with Editions Tallandier and Audiolib, and thanks to Mariette Job, niece of Hélène Berr, made a journey through the streets of Paris to discover the story of this young girl who was a student during the Holocaust. The walking tour lasts 2h30 and guides you through the Parisian districts, to different emblematic places such as the Sorbonne or the Luxembourg gardens.
To follow this course, you will need to download the free Guidigo app on your mobile or tablet (works on Android and iOS). The Hélène Berr trail is also free. Once downloaded, the trail can be accessed without an internet connection, including the map. Thus, you can always orient yourself thanks to the integrated GPS and augmented reality on your mobile or tablet and start your guided tour on the tracks of Hélène Berr.
