Visit “The Child of Belleville” around Belleville Park
Rendezvous at 66, rue des Couronnes (20th arr.)
Thursday 20 October, 2:30 pm
Rendezvous in front of the main entrance of the cemetery, at the top of rue de la Roquette (20th arr.).
To understand Georges Perec is to try to decipher a writing marked by mystery, playing with constraints, and one of the most singular works of world literature. It is also exploring the «other places» of this son of Polish Jewish immigrants who liked to walk around the city. Two separate visits, one around the park of Belleville, the other in the district of Père-Lachaise, allow to reconstruct the «puzzle Perec».
Both routes require good physical condition.
Price: 14€/8€ (discounted and Friends of the mahJ) for each visit. Online booking on
