Commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw ghetto uprising

On the occasion of the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising, the Shoah Memorial organizes for students from III to II years thematic visits around the history of the Warsaw Ghetto. They will be followed by testimonies, screenings-meetings and an exceptional music concert.

 

Tuesday, April 18, 2023: Testimony-meeting 

From 1:30 PM to 2:15 PM: guided tours of the Wall of Names and the crypt.

From 2:15 PM to 4:15 PM: testimony-meeting with Larissa Cain, survivor of the Warsaw ghetto.

Wednesday, April 19: Yiddish and gypsy music concert

From 9:30 to 11:00: thematic visits of the Shoah Memorial.

From 11:00 to 12:00: Yiddish and Gypsy music concert with François Salque, Samuel Strouk, Eric Slabiak and Jérémie Arranger.

From 12:00-12:30: meeting with the musicians.

Thursday, April 20: cinema-meeting 

From 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM: guided tours of the Wall of Names and the crypt.

From 10:00 am to 1:00 pm: screening of the film Le pianiste by Roman Polanski, followed by a discussion with Ophir Lévy, film historian and lecturer at the University Paris 8 – Vincennes – Saint-Denis.

Friday, April 21: testimony-meeting 

From 09:30 to 11:00: thematic visits of the Shoah Memorial.

From 11:00 am to 1:00 pm: testimony-meeting with Larissa Cain, survivor of the Warsaw ghetto.
