Discover the new cultural activities program

Sunday 01 January 2023Friday 31 March 2023

At the beginning of this year 2023, the Shoah Memorial invites you to discover, on one hand, its new major exhibition Spirou in the turmoil of the Shoah, an opportunity to address a difficult subject with family, and, on the other hand, the exhibition dedicated to the photographer and resistance fighter Julie Pirotte. Don’t miss out either
the end of exhibitions 11,400 children. Portraits by C215 and 'To the grace of God', the Churches and the Shoah, as well as the cycle and the visits dedicated to them.

We offer, as usual, a selection of multi-themed events:
– events around January 27, international day dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Holocaust (note a screening-meeting
in afirst premiere of the documentary by Antoine Lifaut and Caroline Protat dedicated to Ginette Kolinka, survivor of the Holocaust);

– a special program as part of the Week of Education and Actions against Racism, Anti-Semitism and LGBT+ Hate (including an evening during which laughter and humor will be used as a vehicle for education);

– our cycle History in the Present now dedicated to the year 1943;

our very first short film festival;

– and the main events in the auditorium, including several preview screenings and an exceptional meeting with comic book author Joann Sfar.

Throughout the year 2023, we continue our work of memory with the commemorations, throughout the year, of the deportation of the Jews from France in 1943. You can also take part in planned memory trips to Auschwitz and Warsaw.

Finally, at the Shoah Memorial in Drancy, a new exhibition entitled School and Resistance is opening, and historians, journalists and sociologists are also waiting for you for several appointments around works on the Shoah.

We hope to see you at one of these events, either at the Memorial or online and live on our website and social networks.
