Signatures of agreements with the Jewish Historical Institute and the Polin Museum in Poland

The Jewish Historical Institute in Warsaw and the Shoah Memorial signed a partnership agreement on 18 January 2019 in Warsaw. A second agreement was signed on the same day between the Shoah Memorial and the Polin Museum, the museum of the history of the Jews of Poland.

On 18 January 2019, the director of the Shoah Memorial, Jacques Fredj, went to Warsaw to sign a framework cooperation agreement with Pavel Spewiak, director of the Jewish Historical Institute in Warsaw.  This signing, which took place in the presence of the French ambassador to Poland Pierre Lévy, focused in particular on exchanges of digitized archives.

, then went to the Polin Museum of Warsaw in order to sign an agreement with Dariusz Stola, director of the Polin museum. This signing also took place in the presence of the ambassador Pierre Lévy.

The two institutions are united to jointly improve, in Poland and in France, the knowledge and transmission of the history of the Jews of Europe. This agreement will promote the exchange of historical knowledge, the transmission of the memory of the Shoah and the education of future generations in the name of preventing similar tragedies in the future.

Scientific and didactic cooperation, teacher training, study trips, seminars and workshops for training, qualification and training of guides, this agreement will allow a real exchange of experiences and practices between the staff of the two institutions. The two museums also announced a mutual exchange of historical knowledge and access to their digital resources, as well as cooperation between experts in cultural and scientific fields.
