Visit of the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp alongside Pap Ndiaye, Minister of National Education and Youth, and Valérie Pécresse, President of the Ile-de-France Region

, Minister of National Education and Youth, and Valérie Pécresse, president of the Ile-de-France Region, accompanied, with the rector of the Paris Academy Christophe Kerrero and the director of the Shoah Memorial Jacques Fredj, this Monday, November 21, a study tour on the site of the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp, as part of a partnership between the Shoah Memorial and the Ile-de-France Region.

Together, they reaffirmed the importance of teaching about the Holocaust and the role of study tours.

From 21 to 23 November, 24 high school classes of Ile-de-France with 479 students and teachers went to the site of the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp. All are engaged in educational projects supported by the Shoah Memorial and which will be presented during a restitution organized for the Region during the Week of education and actions against racism and antisemitism.
