Participate in our thematic visits around the history of the Jews of North Africa during the Second World War pedagogy

On the occasion of the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the roundup of Tunis, the Mémorial de la shoah organizes for students from Third to Terminale thematic visits around the history of the Jews of North Africa during the Second World War. They will be followed by exceptional screenings-meetings.

Wednesday 7 December 2022 

  • 9:30-11:00: guided tour "The Jews of North Africa during the Second World War". 
  • 11h-12h45: screening of the documentary The Jews of North Africa during the Second World War by Claude Santiago and Antoine Casubolo Ferro, followed by a meeting with Claude Nataf, historian and president of the Historical Society of the Jews of Tunisia and North Africa.

Friday, December 9, 2022

  • 13h30-15h00: guided tour "The Jews of North Africa during the Second World War". 
  • 15:00-16:45: screening of the documentary Young and I by Sophie Nahum, followed by a meeting with Caroline François and Hubert Strouk, curators of the exhibition "European sport in the face of Nazism (1936 – 1948)"
