Paris 1924 – 2024, the Olympic Games, mirror of societies

5669907 Jesse Owens; (add.info.: Jesse Owens Olympic Games Berlin 1936 |).

From striking images of the different Olympiads, students are led to question discrimination in history (especially antisemitism and racism) and to put them in resonance with current events. The Olympic Games in Berlin in 1936 will be at the heart of the exhibition, at least 5 panels will be dedicated to it, this Olympiad serves as a matrix to question discrimination. The mechanisms of exclusion and persecution of Jews put in place by Nazi Germany will be developed and analyzed, then put into effect with other Olympiads.
