As part of the exhibition
David Teboul met Simone Veil in 2003. From their exchanges began a slow work of remembrance. By relying on the recordings of previously unpublished filmed interviews as well as personal and family archives, David Teboul intends to 'depoliticize' Simone Veil and offer her a renewed perspective, sometimes in contradiction with the public image that the media have fabricated. How did the nourished dialogue between Simone Veil and David Teboul open new perspectives in the approach to the history of the Holocaust, the history of the Jews, and the history of France? It will be a matter of better understanding the forms through which David Teboul navigates: literature, photography, cinema, sound design, museography. David Teboul, filmmaker, artist and author, curator of the exhibition Simone Veil. My sisters and I.
