The sisters Jacob, Denise, Simone and Madeleine, known as 'Milou', grow up in Nice, surrounded by a loving mother, Yvonne, a dear brother, Jean, and a father, André, an architect and republican. They pass through their childhood and adolescence in a cocoon, lulled by the beauty and sweetness of the Mediterranean. The defeat of France and collaboration precipitate the Jacob family into poverty and persecution, until deportation. Drawing from family correspondence and archives, this choral graphic narrative tells in unison the lives of these three sisters with exceptional temperaments, the immense tenderness that united them, and their inexhaustible courage.
