The Immortals: Passing on Memory to Younger Generations
On Monday, March 31, 2025, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the camps, and as part of the week of education against racism and antisemitism, the Paris Center City Hall and the Shoah Memorial were able to present five short films to 9th grade and high school students. Les Immortels directed by Olivier Nakache and Éric Toledano.
With more than 250 students, this screening was followed by an exchange with the directors, as well as Hubert Strouk, head of the educational department at the Shoah Memorial.
Les Immortels, a project led by Mémorial de la Shoah, pays tribute to the last survivors of the camps through a series of five unpublished short films in which young people today meet and exchange with survivors, the last living witnesses of the Holocaust.
The films are available on the Shoah Memorial YouTube channel.
