In the footsteps of the Jews of Thessaloniki

The Shoah Memorial organized, from 30 October to 2 November 2016, an exceptional trip to Thessaloniki, the "Jerusalem of the Balkans".

During this trip, the participants visited the Jewish Museum of Thessaloniki which traces the history of the Jews of the city from antiquity to 1945. The town of Véria, located about an hour from Salonika, its Jewish quarter and its 19th century synagogue were also on the program.

Here are two videos and some photos of this journey from memory.
