Since its theatrical release in 1985, Shoah has become a must-see work sparking many debates on the cinematographic representations of the genocide. Defending his political and aesthetic choices, Claude Lanzmann played an essential role in making his film a shared reference. His passing away in 2018 marked an important turning point in the perception of the film. This collective investigation intends to show what Shoah is becoming and how to convey it today.

In the presence of the project directors and Caroline Champetier (subject), assistant to William Lubtchansky, chief cameraman of Shoah.

In conversation with Guido Furci, lecturer in literature at Sorbonne Nouvelle University.
