The Wall of the Righteous

The Wall of the Righteous, located in the alley that adjoins the Memorial, bears the names of more than 3,900 men and women who, risking their lives, contributed to the rescue of Jews in France during the Second World War. These people have received the title of "Righteous among the Nations", awarded by the Yad Vashem Memorial Museum in Jerusalem since 1963. To date, more than 24,000 people worldwide have received this distinction.

PRACTICE: The Wall of the Righteous, located in the public space of the alley of the Righteous, is accessible permanently.
