For the first time, Croatian, Slovenian and Italian teachers gathered under the aegis of the Shoah Memorial, in order to discuss genocidal policies against Jewish communities and the difficult war exit of the northern Adriatic which continues to fuel tensions in this region.
The Shoah Memorial organized a visit for the benefit of the magistrates of the general prosecutor’s office and the public prosecutors' offices on April 10, 2018. The delegation, composed of twenty magistrates and led by Catherine Champrenault, Attorney General, attended a guided tour by Jacques Fredj, director of the Memorial, before discussing the activities of the Memorial.
On 8 March 2018, the Memorial inaugurated its new exhibition dedicated to the work of the German photographer August Sander, in the presence of his grandsons and great-grandsons: Gerhard and Julian Sander.
The Mémorial de la Shoah signed three partnership agreements during the month of January 2017 with the Ministry of Culture and Communication, the Academy of Nice and the Secretary of State for Veterans and Memory. These partnerships will allow the Memorial to strengthen its actions, particularly on the educational level by continuing its work of transmission with young people and training teachers.
